  1. Can I switch race distances after registration?
    Runners may request to change what distance they will run at the Sangai Run Half Marathon based on distance availability. There will be a Rs 100 event change fee for all Sangai Run Half Marathon race distance event changes, plus the difference in event distance prices. No refunds will be given for downgrading your event. All Sangai Run Half Marathon event distance changes must be submitted via email and will only be accepted until 10th November, 2017. Please email sangairun@oorep.com and include your name, email and the event that you would like to change to. Please allow 3-5 business days for your registration to be updated. We will then resend over your confirmation email to verify the change.
    After 10th November, 2017 all changes will need to be made at bib collection event for a Rs 100 change fee and will be based on availability in the events.
  2. How do I know if I am registered?
    You will receive a confirmation email & SMS from Sangai Run.
  3. If I want to cancel my registration, will I get a refund?
    All entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. You may not give or sell your number to another individual – if you do, this could result in your disqualification as well as the disqualification of the runner who uses your race number.
    The entry fee for this year’s event will not transfer to next year’s event, no exceptions. This policy stays in effect whether you are injured, have an unexpected business or family emergency, pregnancy, etc. There are no exceptions. Any inquiry regarding this policy will be directed back to this page.
    In the event you cannot run the 2017 race at all, please send an emailed request with your cancellation to sangairun@oorep.com, put “Cancellation” in the subject line, and include your name, gender, address, phone number, and race distance in the email body. By cancelling your registration, you won’t receive a refund, but we will send you the race shirt after the race. Medals are not sent to those who do not actually complete the course.
    We must receive your emailed cancellation by November 1st. If your emailed cancellation is received after that date, we will not be able to process it or mail your shirt.
  4. How do I get my Race Bib?
    All race participants are required to pick up their bib, and race shirt at Sangai Run Expo. Bibs will not available for pickup on Race Day. If a runner cannot attend the expo, a friend or family member may pick up the packet with a copy of the runner’s photo ID and confirmation email.
  5. When and where is Sangai Run Expo (bib collection) happening?
    The Sangai Run Half Marathon bib collection will be at Imphal and at Moirang.
    - Friday, November 17, 2017 11am-5pm at Moirang.
    - Saturday, November 18, 2017: 9am-5pm at Imphal.
  6. If I cannot make it to Sangai Run Expo, is there another time I can pickup my bib?
    All participants are required to pick up their bib and race shirt at the Sangai Run Expo. All Half Marathon, 7.5K, and 3.5K participants must attend the Sangai Run Expovto pick up their bib number. Bibs will not be available on Race Day.
    There will be no race day bib pickup.
    If you are unable to personally make it to Packet Pickup, you may have a representative pick up your bib race shirt for you. They will need a printed copy of your confirmation email with your a copy of your photo ID.
  7. What do I need to bring with me to pickup bib number?
    Photo ID and Bib Number Confirmation Email.
  8. What is my bib number confirmation email?
    There will be a bib confirmation email that goes out in early November that will confirm your bib number allocation.
  9. Can I have my race shirt mailed to me?
    No, your participant shirt will not be mailed and will be available for pickup at our Sangai Run Expo or after the race on Race Day.
  10. If I am unable to run, can I still get my shirt?
    In the event you cannot run the Sangai Run Half Marathon 2017 race at all, please send an emailed request with your cancellation to sangairun@oorep.com, put “Cancellation” in the subject line, and include your name, gender, address, phone number, and race distance in the email body.   11. Can I change my shirt size?
    We will accept shirt change requests until 10th November, 2017. You must notify us via email at sangairun@oorep.com to switch your shirt size.
  12. What is the course limit for the Half Marathon?
    All Half Marathon participants are required to finish the race within 4 hours. The Finish Line will close promptly at 1200 hrs. Runners who come in after this time will not be considered official finishers. If anywhere along the course you fall behind that pace time, there is a chance that water stops and aid stations may have shut down as we are required to open streets back up based on that closure. If you do not finish under the course limit, we can not guarantee you a medal or official finisher’s time.
  13. What is the course limit for the Loktak Run (7.5K)?
    All 7.5K participants are required to finish the race within 1 hour and 30 minutes. If anywhere along the course you fall behind that pace time there is a chance that water stops and aid stations may have shut down as we are required to open streets back up based on that closure. If you do not finish under the course limit, we can not guarantee you a medal or official finisher’s time. Runners who come in after this time will not be considered official finishers.
  14. What is the course limit for the School Run (3.3K)?
    All 3.5K participants are required to finish the race within 1 hr. Runners who come in after this time will not be considered official finishers. If anywhere along the course you fall behind that pace time there is a chance that water stops and aid stations may have shut down as we are required to open streets back up based on that closure. If you do not finish under the course limit, we cannot guarantee you a certificate or official finisher’s time.

  16. What is the elevation like? Is it a hilly course?

  17. Are music players, phones, GPS trackers or other personal electronics allows on the course?
    Yes, personal electronics like music players and GPS trackers are allowed on the course.
  18. Where can I find the photos taken during the race?
    Manipur Photography Club will be out on the course to capture photos of every runner. Photos will be available after the race. We will send an email confirmation when the photos are ready.
  19. Where can I find my race results?
    You can access race results and photos through our website.
  20. What is available to me at all water stops?
    Half Marathon: There are 7 water stops along the Half Marathon course. Loktak Run (7.5K): There are 3 water stops along the 7.5K course.
    3.3K: There is 1 water stop (no GU) along the 3.3k course.
    All water stops offer water, electrolyte, medical aid, and toilets.
  21. Are hydration packs allowed on the course?   
    Standard hydration packs are allowed. Backpacks with hydration reservoir bladders will not be allowed given security concerns.
  22. How do I get to the venue by public transportation, bus or car?

  23. Is there a Loktak Run (7.5K) Runner Shuttle after the race? 
    There are shuttles available after the race to take 7.5K runners back to the Start Line. This allows for enjoying our Musical & Cultural Festival after the Race.
  24. Can I register through a charity? 
    Yes! We have partnered with Global Shapers to make fundraising easy.
  25. Where should I store my stuff on race day?
    No check in baggage counter will be provided. Arrangement should be done at the risk of the owner.
  26. What do I do if I lost something on race day or forgot my bag? 
    Any items found on the course will be brought to the info booth area at the Finish Line Festival. Please see an info booth volunteer if you have lost or found an item. All lost and found clothing not claimed at the end of race day will be donated to charity. For information on lost and found items, please contact The Sangai Run Marathon at sangairun@oorep.com.
